Made Her Cry

Sweet, polite, charming even,
Does her school work,
Has lots of friends,
Fits in with all the groups,
Always quick with a joke,
And able to join with quality thoughts.
When she wants to or needs to.
A dangerous type of person.

Screaming and skipping away,
“I made her cry.”

Not the girl that was just sitting in a classroom,
Doing school work,
Interacting with her teacher, friends,
Providing insights on math questions in a tutorial,
Listening to others,
Solving problems.

Screaming and skipping away,
“I made her cry.”

Commotion in the hallway,
Passing time before lunch,
In the other girls face,
Confronting her about things supposedly said,
Things done,
Actions taken,
Real or perceived.

Screaming and skipping away,
“I made her cry.”

Telling her off,
Threatening to beat her up,
Pushing her with a hand,
Raising a fist,
Asserting dominance,
As if that is how the world spins,
Intimidation to prove a point,
About an rumored injustice.

Screaming and skipping away,
“I made her cry.”

A girl in tears,
Standing alone in the hallway,
The world passing her wet cheeks without a thought,
Wondering what she did,
Why she’s feeling this wrath,
Who is going to help her?

Screaming and skipping away,
“I made her cry.”
