Tired

I'm tired.

Tired of teacher bashing, thinking they can do better.
Tired of having everyone, qualified of or not, judge the work that I do.
Tired of teaching math for 15 minutes a day (I'm a language arts teacher).
Tired of having 8:00 meetings everyday of the week (my one hour before students arrive).
Tired of parents not calling or emailing me back.
Tired of drama from both kids and adults.
Tired of leadership issues.
Tired of standardized testing.
Tired of professional development that doesn't help me grow.
Tired of watching people my age build new houses and take expensive trips.
Tired of having to update the social worker with things happening with my students.
Tired of planning lessons that only get halfway done.
Tired of being so busy on my prep hour that I do a lot of work at home.
Tired of constant changes in policy at all levels.
Tired of dealing with things outside of our classroom.
Tired of not knowing if I'm making a difference.
Tired of being a good teacher that tries to do it all.

 I'm tired.
